The board discussed and approved the superintendent search timeline and committee structure during a special meeting segment included in the March 19 agenda.
Two committees will be formed: Committee #1 (application review) composed of two teachers (selected by the Teacher Association), two parents (selected by the board), and one staff member; Committee #2 (town-hall oversight) composed of one teacher, one parent and one administrator to organize community outreach. Tamra Harris will receive applications from the Idaho School Board Association on March 3 and facilitate the committees’ work. Committee #1 will review applications, call references, and present summaries to the board; finalists will be interviewed in executive session on March 11 and finalist names and hometowns will be announced publicly afterward.
Trustees approved the process and committee appointments; motions to approve the process and committees carried unanimously. Administration will set interview questions and manage logistics in collaboration with internal leadership.
