Council limits pickleball tournament dates after public complaint about player behavior

The council discussed a request from Lisa Zirpolo to reserve courts for a four-day pickleball tournament beginning Sept. 4. Council members concluded four days was too long and voted to allow setup starting 4 p.m. Sept. 5 with play on Sept. 5–7; the motion was made by Tim McCarthy, seconded by Mike Botelho and approved by all.
During public comment resident Pam Schutt complained that some pickleball players have been "relieving themselves by the creek." Nancy Thill responded in the discussion noting that quieter pickleballs do work. The council reiterated that personal property left on courts may be removed after 30 days and required tournament resource requests a week in advance.
