District reports insurance recoveries, Ag building progress and $11M from House Bill 521

Superintendent Larsen briefed trustees that the district has received most insurance proceeds for hail damage to HVAC systems; the funds will cover some but not all unit replacements and facilities funds will supplement remaining work. Larsen said the Ag building was about 67% complete with main budgetary items expected to be finished soon and that the project may come in under budget.
Larsen reported the district had received $11 million from House Bill 521 and expected an additional $6 million by the end of February. He announced a Feb. 28 meeting at the District Service Center to discuss transportation arrangements for parents. Financial appendices in the packet include detailed general ledger extracts through Jan. 31, 2025, with a reported grand total of $54,775,577.23 and YTD expenditures of $24,583,221.64 listed in the GL report.
