The board unanimously approved several personnel actions May 20. County Coordinator Kelly Thongvivong asked the board to retain Kayla Clark as a Solid Waste Technician after her three-month probation ends on May 24, 2025; the motion to confirm retention was moved by Commissioner Donna Gravley and seconded by Chair Kevin Stevens.
Commissioner Larry Anderson moved, seconded by Commissioner Wayne Maras, to make Kay Gohr, Chief Deputy Auditor/Treasurer, permanent full-time effective May 20, 2025. Separately, the board voted (motion by Tom Appel, second by Donna Gravley) to hire James Erickson as a part-time Jailer/Dispatcher at Range 12, Step Minimum ($24.78) and Jennifer Etchason as a part-time Jailer/Dispatcher at Range 12, Step 4 ($27.99), both pending successful completion of hiring requirements. The board also approved a clothing allowance of $500 for the Building Operations Manager and $250 for the Courthouse Building & Grounds Worker (motion by Tom Appel, second by Larry Anderson).
