Lance Harrison, superintendent of Preston Joint School District #201, announced a community town hall on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Preston High School Library where superintendent finalists will take questions from a committee and the public. "At 6:00 PM in the high school library, the district superintendent finalists will have questions posed to them, as presented by a committee comprised of a teacher, a staff member, and a parent. The public is invited to attend," the notice states.
The town hall is set to run from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, with the finalist question-and-answer segment beginning at 6:00 PM. Patrons are asked to use the east doors by the new gym for in-person access, and the district said the special event will be broadcast to the community. The district emphasized that "no business of the Board is scheduled or will be occurring, and no meeting of the Board will be held. Accordingly, no minutes will be taken," and that the notice "fulfills Idaho State Code requirements for public meeting notices." The notice was dated March 9, 2025, and signed by Lance Harrison, Superintendent.
