Mike Mumper presented a PowerPoint from the Exploratory Joint Villages Committee that identified strengths and weaknesses of current police facilities and outlined goals for a new station. The presentation said a new station should be "welcoming to residents and visitors" and should include improved office space, confidential interview areas and a secure evidence room.
Council discussion moved the subject to the Planning Commission for incorporation into the Master Plan outreach. Julie Bonello said information about station modernization will be included in surveys going to all village residents in January as part of the Master Plan engagement.
