Mike Mumper moved to approve two proposals—Down to Earth for $19,000 and Serviscape for $20,260—and amended the motion so the total would not exceed $40,000; Tim McCarthy seconded and the motion passed by roll call 5-0.
Council members said the project area will be fenced and closed until spring to allow the new grass to establish; the playground and pickleball court will remain open with adjusted access. A resident who wished to remain anonymous offered a substantial donation that Mumper said will be used toward the project and capital improvement funds.
