Board accepts retirements, hires coaches and event worker
Summary

Carlinville CUSD 1 trustees accepted two retirements and approved two employment actions during their Oct. 14 meeting.
President Kathy Norris asked the board to accept the retirements of Connie Morin effective Dec. 19, 2025, and Danita Suhling effective Oct. 31, 2025; Sam Harding moved and Maya Reid seconded the motion, which passed by voice vote with all present voting in favor. The retirements were recorded by the board as part of routine personnel actions.
The board also approved two hires for the 2025–2026 school year, pending completion of paperwork and certifications: Jefferson Davis as assistant wrestling coach and Jeff Smith as an event worker. The motion to employ both candidates was made by Brandon Little, seconded by Maya Reid, and passed 6-0 on a roll-call vote (Seth Roberts absent).
