Trustees briefed on potholes, fallen bike-path tree and new officer; police report read

Trustee Vick told the board that potholes in the village are being patched and that crews will repair sod torn up by the recent storm in the coming weeks.
Trustee Walter reported that a tree fell on the bike path between Orchard and Maple Hill and "took out a big chunk of the asphalt," and he was asked to compile a list of corners that need gravel for the president. "There was a tree that fell down on the bike path between Orchard and Maple Hill and it took out a big chunk of the asphalt," Walter said. The board did not authorize emergency funding or contract work at this meeting; Walter was asked to deliver a list of needed repairs to President Counley.
Trustee Zakrocky announced the village has hired a new police officer, Officer Doug Beres, and said he will be asked to attend the next Village Board meeting. Zakrocky also read the monthly police report (the transcript records that the report was read but does not detail its contents).
