Board warns homeowner over building-permit violation, advises school to seek other sites

The board reviewed a set of local permit and zoning matters. Trustee Jones told builder John Pasoni that footings for a home in the Hidden Meadows subdivision were placed in the wrong location and did not comply with village zoning; Jones said Pasoni must remove the footings, apply for a building permit and will be fined $250 for failing to obtain a permit.
Representatives Alexis Pennington and Justin Christianson presented plans for Wolf Creek Potager Garden and were advised to proceed with their business planning and submit a building permit. Representatives of Unity Christian School were told the Donna Drive site is zoned commercial and that the village wants to reserve limited commercial land for revenue-generating businesses; Jones recommended the school consider other properties within the village.
