The Crainville Village Board on Jan. 20 approved a $7,834.47 change order for additional work on Donna Drive and authorized payment to contractor E.T. Simonds for surface repairs.
Potts of PSC Engineering presented the bill and said the contractor submitted a total bill for $148,017.43 that included the $7,834.47 change order. "Payment for the bill will come out of both the TIF and Motor Fuel accounts," the board was told; the board approved paying $100,000 out of the TIF and $48,017.48 out of the Motor Fuel account (Motion 5). The board also approved PSC Engineering's inspection fee of $11,305 (General Fund) and $12,555 (Motor Fuel) for preliminary engineering work (Motions 6 and 7).
Trustees voted to approve the change order and payments by voice vote. The board asked Potts to continue monitoring remaining punch-list items on Marion Street and Landing Drive before releasing retainage from the contractor.
