Rodney Potts of PSC Engineering told the Board that Illinois Department of Transportation now separates Motor Fuel Fund budgets into two tiers: routine maintenance items under $60,000 and asphalt overlay projects above $60,000. Potts presented a 2026 Motor Fuel budget of $60,000 to align with the new tiering.
The Board approved the Motor Fuel budget as Resolution 2026-04-01 on a unanimous vote (motion by Mike Harbin; seconded by Julie Aue). The allocation places routine maintenance items such as gravel, culverts and striping within the approved tier-one budget.
