On April 15 the Lindop School District 92 board approved two community donations: $10,000 to underwrite the district's participation in a Juneteenth celebration (June 20–22, 2025), and $1,500 to The Answer Inc. Both motions passed on voice votes with the board recording ayes.
Jonathan Patterson used public comment to ask why Education Fund dollars would be used for a village-sponsored celebration instead of instructional supports and asked whether The Answer Inc. had been vetted for service in Broadview. The motions were moved and seconded on the record (Ms. Griffin moved the Juneteenth donation; Mr. Taylor moved the donation to The Answer Inc.) and recorded as approved in the meeting minutes.
