The Lindop School District 92 Board of Education accepted resignations from Middle School ELA Teacher Stacey Hill, Middle School Science Teacher Matthew Sowinski and Social Worker Ken Markovic, all effective May 28, 2025.
"I move to accept the resignation submitted by Middle School ELA Teacher Stacey Hill, effective Thursday, May 28, 2025," Mr. Taylor said; the motion passed on a voice vote. The board also approved a contract to retain Kathy Gibson as Interim Business Manager at $75 per hour, not to exceed 100 hours per month, continuing through June 30, 2025.
Several compensation items were discussed but tabled for a future regular meeting: providing board-paid family insurance (PPO/HMO) for Executive Assistant/Board Secretary Tamara Graham, authorizing a $20,000 stipend to Graham retroactive to December 11, 2024, and approving a $3,000 monthly stipend for Assistant Superintendent Dr. Emily Betz for additional financial-office support. Ms. Williams-Wolford made the motions to table these items; Ms. Griffin abstained on some procedural votes.
The board recorded no detailed funding source or contract vendor in open session for the interim-business-manager arrangement; the approved hourly rate and monthly-hour cap were included in the motion.
