District reports IEP corrections, approves Pre‑K parent handbook

Director of Special Services Dr. Angle Diggs told the board the district received four IEPs that were resubmitted with feedback and that an action plan and team were assembled to address the feedback. "We must create an action plan to correct the information," the minutes report; the district worked with Early Childhood staff to produce a parent handbook and the forms were approved by the state on May 12.
The board later approved the Prekindergarten Parent Handbook (Action Item 25-54). The vote recorded AYEs from Members Chalmers, Richardson, Webb and Barnett, with Member Ivory Myles recorded as an abstention and two members absent. The minutes do not contain the handbook text; the board approved the document as presented on the agenda.
