Interim superintendent and principal report on graduation, awards and staff recognition

Interim Superintendent Lonny Lemon reminded the board that 8th-grade graduation is scheduled for May 27 and asked members to RSVP. He said Dr. Bryan Zwemke finalized his June schedule to begin transition activities to Oak Grove and reported attending the Those Who Excel awards banquet with Principal Murray, which honored Mellisa Osatch, Heather McCarty, Rebecca Jakubowski and Logan Farris as district winners.
Principal Ryan Murray confirmed end-of-year events (Field Day and 8th-grade dance on May 23, graduation May 27, last day June 4) and acknowledged retirements for Jean Hattendorf and Mary Jo Swift. The reports included congratulatory remarks for four students who qualified for the State Track meet.
