The Meridian Community Unit School District 223 Board of Education convened a special meeting at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 22, 2025 in the Meridian Junior High School board room. President John Smith called the meeting to order and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Board member Huber moved to approve the meeting agenda; Rhodes seconded the motion, which the minutes record as carried by voice vote (Ayes: All). The board then recessed into a budget hearing at 7:32 a.m. (motion by Behmer, seconded by Huber). The minutes list members present as Behmer, Collins, DeVries (arrived 7:33), Huber, Morrow, Rhodes and Smith. The meeting closed at 7:51 a.m.; minutes were certified by Recording Secretary Elaine Nicholson and verified by Board President John Smith.
