Superintendent Dr. Michael Lubelfeld informed trustees that District 225 (Glenbrook High Schools) notified TrueNorth Cooperative it plans to petition to withdraw and that the district’s notification uses a process the TrueNorth bylaws may not require. He said Districts have until May 30 to vote and recommended that North Shore SD 112 deny the withdrawal.
Ms. Lisa Hirsh, the district’s representative on the TrueNorth Leadership Council, will discuss the matter with council members; Dr. Lubelfeld said he is consulting legal counsel. The board will receive an update and a recommendation at the May 20 meeting, when trustees may vote on the withdrawal request.
