Learning Coordinators Kim Mollerdino and Lexi Robinson presented a recommendation to adopt Defined Careers as the curricular platform for the new PaCE (Post Secondary and Career Exploration) course launching 2025–26. The course will be part of the fine and applied arts rotation and is intended to help students explore careers, identify strengths, and engage in authentic career-related activities.
The proposed three-year digital license for all middle-school students and PaCE teachers is listed at $19,860.00. The Board expressed support for the course concept but also raised concerns about ensuring students are not overwhelmed by career exploration; the purchase will be presented for approval at the April 22 Regular Board meeting.
