The Board of Education set building-specific Chromebook policies for the coming school year. After discussion, the Board determined that LaSalle students will not be allowed to take Chromebooks home overnight. Parkview students in grades 6–8 may take devices home when teachers deem it necessary; Chromebooks will be checked out through the homeroom teacher. Fifth-grade students at Parkview will not be issued Chromebooks for home use because they receive paper workbooks.
The minutes record the policy as an administrative decision rather than a formal motion and do not identify any sanctions for misuse or loss nor a timeline for reviewing the policy. Mr. Yocum was asked to check with parents about papers being sent home and to bring a late-assignment plan to the Board.
