Board limits Chromebook take-home to Parkview grades 6–8; LaSalle students barred from overnight checkout
Summary
Creve Coeur SD 76 decided July 31 that LaSalle students will not take Chromebooks home; Parkview students in grades 6–8 may when teachers require them for assignments, with checkout managed by homeroom teachers.
The Board of Education set building-specific Chromebook policies for the coming school year. After discussion, the Board determined that LaSalle students will not be allowed to take Chromebooks home overnight. Parkview students in grades 6–8 may take devices home when teachers deem it necessary; Chromebooks will be checked out through the homeroom teacher. Fifth-grade students at Parkview will not be issued Chromebooks for home use because they receive paper workbooks.
