County receives bids for 2026 roadway resurfacing and pavement marking projects

The County Engineer reported bid openings for two capital projects on April 22. For the 2026 Roadway Resurfacing Project the board recorded two bids: A&B Asphalt Corporation submitted the low bid at $2,329,664.67 and The Shelly Company bid $2,449,614.20; the engineer's estimate listed $2,868,832.75. Commissioners referred the bids to staff for evaluation.
For the 2026 Pavement Marking Project the bids read were Oglesby Construction, Inc. at $332,998.80 and The Aero-Mark, Inc. at $339,999.00; the engineer's estimate was $500,176.81. The board will await staff recommendation before awarding contracts. No award decisions were made at the April 22 meeting.
