The Lindsborg City Council authorized staff to submit a Land and Water Conservation Fund application to the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks to fund construction of a new restroom facility at Riverside Park. Staff said the existing restrooms have reached the end of their useful life and proposed a roughly 500‑square‑foot concrete block building with separate men’s and women’s restrooms (two user stations each) plus a storage area.
Councilmember Larry Lysell moved to authorize submission of the grant application; Councilmember Lysa Palmer‑Augusta seconded the motion and it passed 5‑0 by roll call vote. Staff described the new facility will be located near the large shelter and comply with applicable building codes and accessibility requirements.
