National Historic Cheesemaking Center seeks $14,800 for 30th-anniversary celebration

"Our ask this year is considerably more than in the past years, but we have a special event. We will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the opening of the museum in September," Bridal said, describing a one-day main event on Saturday the 20th with pre-activities on Friday and follow-up on Sunday, plus on-site demonstrations, food trucks and a tent. The museum reported about 1,450 paid tours and, adding complimentary visits and other programming, around 1,700 visitors this year. Jim (introduced in the packet as "Jim Glester") added that the center draws international visitors from many countries and said he has been associated with the museum for two decades.
Commissioners expressed enthusiasm for the museum's anniversary and included the request in the bundle they approved.
