Administrator reports fund balance, projects lower reserves if current requests are approved

"The fund balance at the end of 20 23 was a 149 or just over, I guess, just under a 150,000," the administrator said, and reported year-to-date revenue of about $109,000 with $24,000 of expenditures. The administrator noted outstanding funded requests of roughly $126,000 and projected an end-2024 balance of about $108,000. Using a projected $90,000 in revenue for 2025 and the current set of requests, the administrator said the end-of-2025 balance would be around $40,000.
Commissioners acknowledged the fund is intended for tourism promotion and said they did not want to hoard the balance but cautioned continued, consistent draw-downs could limit future capacity to support organizations.
