TID 10 prioritizes 18th Avenue improvements; industrial district tied to Monroe incentives not executed

Greg Johnson of Ehlers briefed the meeting on TID 10, noting an incremental value just shy of $10,000,000 as of Jan. 1 and a 2023 fund balance of about $86,400. He identified 18th Avenue improvements as the priority project for that district. "So I think 18th Avenue is kind of the priority project that the city has identified for this district," Johnson said.
Johnson also reviewed a more recently created industrial district (2021) that had been intended to facilitate Monroe Truck incentives, saying "There was an incentive offered for Monroe truck" but that Monroe Truck chose not to execute the development agreement. City staff reported the company has gone through ownership transition and is evaluating long-term plans; the city is focusing on infrastructure investments as an alternative path for the district.
