"Total grant requests sit at $3.649 million, with only $2.45 million currently available to award (approx. $1.2 million deficit)," she said.
The council noted that projects requesting more than $350,000 require formal presentations limited to 10 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions; the Uintah County Enduro Course met that threshold and was slated for a presentation at the next meeting. Members discussed options for applicants who fall below the OHVR funding line, including fast-tracking or redirecting them to the Federal Highway Administration's Recreational Trails Program (RTP) subject to NEPA compliance and application requirements.
