District to expand camera coverage, install 19 interactive boards and notes device-insurance costs

Dmitry Andrievsky told the Committee that for the 2024–25 school year the district insured 467 devices at a total cost of $17,745 and that claims for the year exceeded $21,000. He provided unit insurance costs, saying a MacBook is insured at $42.25 per device and Chromebooks at $21.75.
Andrievsky said the team identified areas needing additional camera coverage, including gyms and cafeterias, with installations scheduled for June and two new 3-way cameras planned for outdoor coverage. He also reported Phase II of the interactive board implementation: 19 boards will be installed over summer and the total cost will not exceed $74,810. Jason Udstuen added that summer maintenance planning includes brick and masonry work beginning immediately after students are out, and that projects have been on time and on budget.
The Committee received the technical and facilities updates as informational items; no new purchases or contract awards were approved at this meeting.
