Alexa Dunn presented the Consolidated District Plan and told the Committee the CDP "addresses the planning portion of the grant application process" and that "All districts that intend to submit an application for one of the 12 federal grants included in the CDP must have an approved CDP with ISBE before submitting the grant application."
Staff also presented a first reading of suggested PRESS policy updates. Committee materials noted that about 90% of the revisions were due to changes in Title IX laws; Interim Superintendent Lonny Lemon recommended approving the policies at the upcoming Regular Board meeting so the district's policies will be accurate when the district moves to PRESS Plus in June.
The Committee reviewed the CDP as a precondition for grant submissions and heard that the PRESS updates are procedural but tied to federal/state compliance; the Board is expected to consider formal approval at the next Regular meeting.
