Madison launches revamped Civic Plus site with 'Notify Me' alerts; staff asks council to test and report issues

Staff member Hannah walked council through the city's new Civic Plus website, showing a refreshed home page, linked agendas and minutes, an agenda calendar that attaches agendas to events, embedded streaming links and a keyword/search function intended to help residents find content more easily. She demonstrated how users can create an account and subscribe to text or email alerts for specific boards, meeting types and city notices.
"So here, you can go in, you can create account an account with this with the city's on the city's website, and you can sign up for notifications," Hannah demonstrated while signing up a sample contact for City Hall. Hannah acknowledged migration problems and that "Madison was spelled incorrectly quite a few times" during the migration and asked council and the public to report broken links and misspellings so staff can correct them. Councilors praised the site and encouraged staff to finish mobile formatting and keyword tagging before full rollout.
