A resident said they saw an "Error" message on their meter and asked whether they should be concerned. The attendee said they had sent a picture to the utility and had not heard back; the utility presenter responded that the new meters generally report reads every 15 minutes and that the system would ping the utility if the house were offline.
The presenter advised the resident that customer service can schedule a meter reader to visit the home for a closer look and explained that digital meters are more accurate than older mechanical meters. "You can always actually ask our customer service to set up a meter reader to come to your home," the presenter said.
