The county's Riverbend Park fishing-dock project was put out to bid and a single bid was reported during the Sept. work session: Wahoo Docks of LaGrange submitted a bid of $90,582.11 for an 80-foot by 10-foot fixed dock. "it will be for 80 ft X 10 ft wide dock, it was in the amount of $90,582.11, by Wahoo Docks out of Lagrange," the work session minutes say.
County Manager Thomas Weaver told commissioners the project requires U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permitting and he proposed awarding the contract pending receipt of required permits. The county recorded that only a few dock companies can work under Corps requirements; the commission listed the item for a future voting agenda once permitting and any final procurement checks are complete.
