Town Manager: DECD grant closeout near complete; 13 Summit Street flagged for structural concerns

Town Manager David Cox updated the Brownfields Redevelopment Agency that the DECD grant closeout work is close to completion and that required documents and reports will be submitted to the appropriate authority once finished. Cox also told members the Town Building Official has expressed concerns about the structural integrity of the building at 13 Summit Street and that the SPILL team has responded regarding remediation options.
Cox reminded members that the next town referendum is scheduled for Aug. 5 at Town Hall and summarized recent budget adjustments: a $350,000 increase to the budget and a $50,000 increase to operating funds. Agency members discussed remediation priorities and the need to coordinate with technical consultants on next steps.
