District 208 certifies April 1 results, swears in three new board members and elects officers

The Board of Education, Township High School District 208, accepted the Certificate of Results prepared by the Cook County Clerk and proclaimed Nicholas Caputo, Lorena Gasca and Patrick Williams elected to four-year terms following the April 1, 2025 consolidated election. The proclamation was adopted unanimously at the April 29 special meeting.
Dr. Kevin Skinkis administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected members. Each new member recited the oath, which begins, "I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of member of the Board of Education of Riverside Brookfield Township High School District 208, in accordance with the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and the laws of the State of Illinois." After the swearing-in, Nicholas Novak moved and the board unanimously elected Deanna Zalas to a two-year term as Board President and elected Lorena Gasca as Vice President for a two-year term.
