Pope said the governor's recommended budget for FY 2027 is $17,900,000, including $15.7 million in state funds, $1.0 million in NEA federal funds and $1.2 million use of reserves.
Committee members asked about reserve levels, grant monitoring and use of ARPA funds; Hal Partlow described monitoring procedures and said ARPA monitoring had produced no findings to date. After discussion the committee approved the commission's budget.
