Comptroller to release judicial weighted caseload study tomorrow

"Tomorrow, the comptroller's office will publish a new judicial weighted caseload study for each of the state's 32 judicial districts," the Comptroller said, adding the report includes updated case weights and a statewide map. The study, paused during COVID and not revised since 2020 (case weights dated back to 2013), will inform discussions about judicial staffing and resource allocation across districts.
Members welcomed the forthcoming data and said they would review district-level results to consider whether adjustments to judicial resources are warranted during appropriation deliberations.
