Elko County TV District accepts Jimenez resignation, appoints Misty Atkins

The Elko County TV District board on Monday accepted the resignation of board member Rick Jimenez, who is moving out of Elko County, and appointed Misty Atkins to fill the vacant seat.
The Chair said Jimenez submitted his resignation within the previous two weeks because he and his wife are relocating out of the county. Kent moved to accept the resignation; the motion was seconded and the board voted to accept it. The board then moved to offer the position to Misty Atkins. Misty Atkins, reached by phone, said, “Oh, thank you. And, yes, I accept.” The Chair welcomed Atkins and noted she will be sworn in before serving officially.
At the same meeting the board also appointed Brian as vice chairman after he volunteered to take the role. The board made the motion, received a second, and the motion carried. No formal opposition to either appointment was recorded.
