Cleveland council approves consent agenda including zoning, budget and contract actions

The Cleveland City Council voted unanimously on June 22 to approve a consent agenda that included Final Passage of Zoning Ordinance 2025-62, an amendment to the FY2026 budget (Ordinance 2026-27), and Final Passage of Ordinance 2026-28 updating the Municipal Code on project delivery methods. Councilman David May moved to approve the consent agenda; Councilman Bill Estes seconded and the motion carried 7-0.
The consent package also authorized Resolution 2026-56 to purchase information technology products and services through an Omnia Partners master intergovernmental cooperative contract with CDW Government, LLC, Resolution 2026-57 to extend the auto body repair contract with Mike’s Auto Body for one year, and Resolution 2026-58 to submit an application for the 2026 Firehouse Subs Public Safety Grant (up to $40,000, no city match required). The council additionally approved a change order for a drainage project, designated municipal depositories, authorized an audit engagement, and reappointed Joe Cate to the Cleveland Utilities Authority through June 30, 2030.
