The Saint Louis Poet Laureate Task Force scheduled two near-term meetings: a Sept. 8 Zoom briefing at 5:30 p.m. to hear from a city council office representative about funding mechanics, and an in-person working session on Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m. that will include STLTV streaming. Chair asked members for availability and the group agreed to 5:30 p.m. as a regular start time for upcoming meetings.
Christine (speaker 2) said a virtual component would allow STLTV to participate without traveling on location; Anne (speaker 4) said on-site tech should be workable with prep. The group tentatively set Oct. 5, Nov. 2 and Dec. 7 meetings at 5:30 p.m. Christine will send confirmations at least one week in advance to ensure quorum and STLTV availability.
The task force also discussed the logistics for a possible informal meet-and-greet in late August and whether some preparatory small-group conversations (1-on-1 outreach to board members) would be useful before bringing a draft ordinance to the board.
