Board keeps some closed-session minutes confidential, schedules redacted releases and destroys older tapes

The Board voted to retain confidentiality for certain closed-session minutes, to release redacted minutes for some dates, to make minutes from July 11–Dec 12, 2023 available within 60 days, to retain tapes from Dec 12, 2023 onward and to destroy older tapes per the resolution.
The Board adopted a resolution June 10 addressing the confidentiality, redaction and destruction of closed-session minutes and recordings. The motion directed that certain minutes remain confidential, that minutes redacted to remove confidential portions be released, that minutes from July 11, 2023 through December 12, 2023 be made public (available within 60 days of adoption but not before July 31, 2025), that tape recordings from December 12, 2023 and after remain confidential, and that tape recordings of earlier sessions as of July 11, 2023 and prior be destroyed.
The motion, moved by Ms. Gasca and seconded by Mr. Durkin, was adopted unanimously by members present (RESOLUTION #15166). The minutes list specific meeting dates and the board’s redaction/release decisions for each. The resolution references maintaining confidentiality where still required and releasing documents that no longer require confidential treatment.
