The Board of Education voted June 10 to authorize disposal of surplus personal property in accordance with 105 ILCS 5/10-22.8. The resolution delegates authority to the Superintendent to dispose of items by public or private sale and to report back to the Board on items sold, buyers and amounts received.
Exhibit 1 attached to the resolution lists specific items identified as broken, obsolete or no longer used, including 104 Chromebooks, 52 PCs, 28 monitors, 14 printers, two video projectors, seven overhead transparency projectors, 290 library items and other equipment. Ms. Gasca moved approval and Mr. Williams seconded; roll call vote was unanimous among members present (RESOLUTION #15161).
