Council reappoints board members, approves labor and inspector agreements
Summary
Council approved several reappointments to boards and commissions (cemetery board, planning commission, zoning board of appeals) and approved a tentative agreement with the General Association (07/01/2026–06/30/2029) and a letter of agreement with IBEW Local 58 to add an inspector supervisor position.
On routine business the council approved multiple reappointments and labor agreements. The council reappointed Ron Ford and Thomas Cahill to the cemetery board (four‑year terms to July 2030), reappointed a planning commission member for a three‑year term to July 2029 and reappointed Lynn Borgie to the planning commission; it also approved Dennis Harmatz to the zoning board of appeals for a three‑year term through July 2029.
Council also approved a tentative agreement between the City of Wayne and the General Association covering 07/01/2026–06/30/2029 and approved a letter of agreement with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 58 to create an additional building inspector supervisor position. Motions for the reappointments and agreements were moved and supported on the record and the items carried by council voice vote.
