The Board of Education of Township High School District 208 voted June 10 to approve a contract with Canines for Comfort to provide a comfort facility dog for district use. The motion was moved by Ms. Lorena Gasca and seconded by Mr. William Durkin; the roll call recorded AYEs from Mr. Nicholas Caputo, Mr. William Durkin, Ms. Lorena Gasca, Ms. Laura Hruska, Mr. Patrick Williams and Ms. Deanna Zalas, with Mr. Nicholas Novak absent.
Board minutes include the motion text: “The Board of Education, Township High School District 208, Cook County, Illinois, approves the contract with Canines for Comfort, as presented and discussed in the June 10, 2025, Board Agenda Packet.” District administrators provided additional information from the liability insurance provider and said the contract was discussed in the Facilities Advisory Council meeting. The motion carried (RESOLUTION #15157).
