The Prospect Heights School District 23 Board of Education approved a three-year contract for district landscaping services to Countryside Industries in the approximate total amount of $73,327.
Administration said bids were solicited for spring 2025 and the 2025–28 seasons; the district sought base services including weekly mowing, edging, pruning and spring/fall cleanups and evaluated vendors on responsiveness and pricing. "Motion to award the three year bid for District Landscaping Services to Countryside Industries in the total amount of $73,327," the minutes show (motion by Mari-Lynn Peters, seconded by Carol Botwinski), and the motion passed with all voting members present.
Board materials provided after the vote include a separate bid summary and an information item stating the low, responsive bidder met district specifications and funds are budgeted in Operations & Maintenance contracted services. Administration said alternate pricing for mulching and weed control was requested but the award is based on the base bid.
