Prospect Heights board OKs CPI-aligned increase to Extended Day Program fees for 2025-26

The Prospect Heights School District 23 Board approved a recommendation to increase Extended Day Program (EDP) fees for 2025-26 by the December Consumer Price Index rate. The motion to "approve the increase of EDP fees by the December CPI rate" was made by Spencer Long and seconded by Brynn Nordmark and passed 6-0 with one member absent.
EDP Director Kris Lebrecht provided an overview of participation and program offerings to the board, noting roughly 35 students in morning programming and about 130 in the afternoon at Ross/Sullivan with an additional 40 at MacArthur. Administration said the recommended fee increase is intended to align monthly participation fees with neighboring districts and with CPI; staffing and capacity will be reviewed and any programmatic changes will be shared with the board before the 2025-26 school year.
