The C & R Drainage District trustees voted unanimously June 30 to approve payment to Bolton & Menk, Inc. in the amount of $10,144.50. The motion was made by Trustee Susan Miller and seconded by Trustee Jeff Jorgensen; the minutes show the motion carried unanimously.
Consultant Jon Rosengren reviewed updates to the operations and maintenance (O&M) manual and noted ongoing observations and inspections. Rosengren outlined remaining levee work — installation of gates, dirt work around structures, and reseeding planned for mid-August — and said additional contractor claims remain to be submitted. Trustees also discussed weed-control needs and the distinction between construction and maintenance costs for state reimbursement purposes.
