Clerk announces staff certification and resignation; township sets cleanup, memorial dates

Clerk Schofield told the board Deputy Clerk Heather Cosgrove completed her Michigan Professional Municipal Clerk certification this week and congratulated her on the achievement. Schofield also announced that Casey Lewis, the election assistant administrator, has resigned and that Lewis’s last day will be Thursday.
Treasurer Horning said the township is accepting applications for a part‑time treasury assistant, with application details posted at hartlandtwp.com and interviews planned the week of April 20. Trustee Petrucci reminded the board the Memorial Day dedication is set for May 2 and said staff reported the memorial will be finished before the event. Staff also announced a large-item cleanup on May 16 from 8 a.m. to noon at Hartland High School and a cemetery cleanup this Friday at Village Cemetery and Hodge.
