Alan Molby of the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) presented the district's planned executive search for a new Chief School Business Official (CSBO), explaining IASB's role in recruiting candidates and the search components the association uses.
District staff followed with a State of the District update. Ms. Opare-Saforo reviewed instructional data results and attendance trends. Dr. Roberson described the proposed eighth-grade "A Local Adventure To Downtown Chicago" trip, which the minutes record will include a 360-degree/tilt experience, dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and a Double-Decker tour of downtown. Ms. Pechacek reported that 16 families with three- and four-year-old children attended the Ready for Kindergarten Night on Jan. 25.
Board members asked clarifying questions during the presentations; the minutes summarize the presentations and indicate staff will return with additional details as needed for planning and approvals.
