Satellite center reports rising credential and dual‑enrollment numbers

Satellite center leaders presented annual outcomes and goals, reporting that 45 students earned advanced credentials in 2023–24, and that new course offerings this year include aviation (17 students) and industrial maintenance/millwright (31 students). The administrator said the center aims to increase advanced credentialing in 2024–25 and expand career and technical certificates through existing college partnerships. “Our mission at the satellite center is to immerse all team members in an experiential learning environment that fosters personal growth and future success,” the administrator told the committee.
Staff highlighted dual‑enrollment results (347 students earned college credit in 2024–25) and named partnerships with River Parishes Community College and Delgado for technical certificates in medical assisting, hospitality management and process technology. Committee members praised the expansion, asked for outreach and community open‑house details, and were told an open house and community showcase is scheduled for November 4.
