D92 recognizes teachers and students; two staff named Those Who Excel winners

Superintendent Kirsten Frankovich opened a recognitions segment at the Feb. 18 meeting, praising teacher Colleen Reynolds for technology work in the Reed LMC and noting seven staff recognized by their peers in the D92 February newsletter. Frankovich also announced that Ludwig social worker Kristin Grahovec and fourth-grade teacher Rebecca Vickers were selected as Those Who Excel winners by the Illinois State Board of Education; she said, "We are so very proud of you!"
Principal Jeff Kulik and teacher Anissa Danley recognized students chosen for the All-State Elementary Chorus at the Illinois Music Educators Conference in Peoria: Mireya Zambrano, Julia Barrett, Brielle Gizzi, Ava Kroplewski, Tucker Lange, Emma Papadatos and Alessandra Tran. The recognitions were presented before the board took up its regular agenda items.
