Convergence Health reports growing surgical volume, Medicaid contracting and a specialty clinic in Elko

Amber Kenyon, representing Convergence Health, updated the board on clinical and contracting developments. She said the group has operated since March 2023, opened a cancer infusion center in 2024 and is actively pursuing Medicaid contracts for the cancer center and for primary care.
Kenyon cited volume and cost statistics to argue for ambulatory surgical center (ASC) benefits, saying the facility has performed roughly 400 cardiac procedures in its cath lab since opening and estimated procedure-cost savings compared with hospital rates (for example, she described substantial per-case savings for cath procedures and spine surgery performed in an ASC setting). "We are 85% cheaper than a hospital cath lab," she said, and reported patient satisfaction scores above state and national averages.
Convergence has opened a specialty clinic (late March) for orthopedics, women's health, spine and gastroenterology and is expanding lab and imaging services at its primary-care site. Kenyon asked for coordination with county partners and NNRH to align grant work and community needs.
